The outer clamp ring (Part #R598) holds the upper and lower housing of your Rainbow D3 together and forms the watertight seal a water-filtration vacuum depends on. It fits the Rainbow/Rexair D3.
Should the ring warp, crack, or lose the ability to tighten, the seal at the basin fails and water leaks out during use. That not only makes a mess but reduces the suction the machine draws through its water bath. A sound replacement ring clamps the housings back down for a tight, leak-free seal.
