The left-hand applique for the Rainbow D3 (Part #R1729) is the trim piece that dresses the left side of the housing, and it fits the Rainbow/Rexair D3. Rainbow supplied it as an OEM-matching finish panel over the underlying surface.
Over years of handling, this applique can pop loose or crack, leaving a scuffed, unfinished look and exposing the panel behind it. Nothing about suction changes, but the machine no longer presents cleanly. Fitting this OEM-matching replacement brings the exterior back to its original appearance.
