The motor slinger ring (Part #R1979B) rides on the motor shaft inside your Rainbow and flings water droplets away from the motor bearings. It fits the Rainbow/Rexair D3, D4, and D4SE.
Because these machines filter through water, moisture around the motor is a constant threat. The slinger ring throws that moisture outward before it can reach the bearings, which would otherwise corrode and fail. When the ring hardens, splits, or slips, that protection is lost and bearing life drops sharply. A fresh ring puts the moisture barrier back in place.
- Fits: Rainbow/Rexair D3, D4, D4SE
- Function: deflects water off the motor shaft
- Benefit: shields the bearings from moisture damage
- Tip: confirm it seats squarely on the shaft so it spins true
It slides onto the shaft during motor service as a direct replacement. Check that your unit is a D3, D4, or D4SE before ordering.
