This genuine OEM Rexair-Rainbow power nozzle belt (Part #R1699B) drives the brush roll on the 1650 power nozzle and fits the D4SE. The belt links the motor to the brush roll so the bristles turn and lift dirt from carpet. It is also cataloged as part #78-3100-08.
A power nozzle belt stretches and glazes with use, and a burning rubber smell or a brush roll that spins slowly signals it is time for a new one. A stretched or broken belt leaves debris embedded in the carpet because the bristles no longer agitate. Fitting the correct belt restores full brush-roll speed.
