This armature gasket (Part #R1415) seals around the armature in your Rainbow D3 motor assembly and fits the Rainbow/Rexair D3. It closes the gap at the armature so airflow stays inside the fan stages where it belongs.
As the gasket hardens and shrinks with heat and age, air begins to slip past instead of moving through the fans. That bypass lowers overall suction and pushes the motor to spin harder for the same result, which adds heat and wear. A fresh gasket reseals the path and lets the motor run at its intended efficiency.
