This carbon brush holder gasket (Part #R1455) seals the carbon brush holder inside your Rainbow D3 motor and fits the Rainbow/Rexair D3. It keeps the joint at the brush holder airtight so nothing bypasses or intrudes at that point.
When the gasket dries out and loses its seal, air can leak around the brush holder and dust can work its way into the brush area. Both cut into motor efficiency, and grit near the brushes speeds their wear. A new gasket restores a clean seal and helps the motor hold peak performance.
