Molded in black pliable rubber, this genuine OEM Royal nozzle plug cover fits metal upright models and redirects airflow between the floor nozzle and the hose attachment. Fitting or removing it switches the vacuum between floor cleaning and above-floor hose use.
A missing or damaged plug cover leaves an open path that bleeds suction, so the hose attachment pulls weakly and floor cleaning suffers. Because the cover seals the switch point, a torn one undermines both modes. The correct replacement restores proper airflow routing.
