Product details
This is the wheel axle stud for Royal metal upright fan cases of the newer pattern, the style Royal moved to in August 1986. Ordered as part 1611101000, it is the short stud a wheel rides on, and it is what holds that wheel square to the case.
When a stud wears or bends, the wheel leans, wobbles or seizes. The machine begins to pull to one side, drags rather than rolls, and a wheel that has worn down into metal will mark hard flooring. Both sides tend to wear at a similar rate, so it is worth pulling the opposite wheel while the machine is apart.
It fits a wide span of Royal uprights built on that fan case, among them the 1020, 1025, 1030Z, 1040, 2000, 2008, 2075, 3000, 4000, 89130C and 97001, the CR5128Z and CR5130Z, and the RY8100 through RY8600 series.
