This power nozzle motor mount screw (Part #H552) fastens the motor mount inside the power nozzle on your Rainbow D4SE, model R-1650C. It holds the nozzle motor firmly against its mounting boss so the brush roll spins true.
Once this screw backs out or the head shears, the motor mount shifts and the brush roll begins to run off-center. The result is added vibration, a noticeable rattle, and faster wear on the nozzle bearings. Reseating the mount with a correct replacement screw quiets the nozzle and keeps the brush roll aligned.
