This lower fan spacer (Part #R2679B) holds the correct gap between the lower fan stage and the components next to it in your Rainbow D4 motor assembly. It fits the Rainbow/Rexair D4 and D4SE.
Proper spacing keeps the fan turning cleanly. Without it, the fan can wobble or drift into the housing, which drains efficiency and sets off a grinding sound as parts make contact. A correctly sized replacement spacer reestablishes the gap so the lower stage runs quiet and true.
