This clamp ring segment (Part #R2585) is one piece of the multi-part clamp ring that holds the upper and lower housings of your Rainbow together. It fits the Rainbow/Rexair D4 and D4SE.
When a single segment cracks or breaks, the clamp ring can no longer draw an even, uniform seal around the basin. That uneven clamping opens the door to air and water leaks during use, which weakens suction and can let moisture escape. Replacing the failed segment returns full clamping pressure and a consistent seal.
