Product details

Part R14453 is the trigger lock from the hose handle of a Rexair-Rainbow E Series (E2) machine. It is one of the small moving pieces inside the handle, and it is sold on its own so a worn lock does not mean buying a complete handle.

Small moving parts in a handle take a load every time they are worked, and they wear at their bearing edges long before the handle body around them shows any damage at all. A lock that is cracked, rounded off where it engages, or missing entirely stops holding the way it should, and the handle no longer behaves as it did when the machine was new.

  • Part: R14453, hose handle trigger lock
  • Fits: Rexair-Rainbow E Series (E2) hose handle
  • Sold as: the lock on its own, not a complete handle
  • Tip: compare the new lock against the old piece before fitting it

Set the old and the new lock side by side before installing, since a worn one often looks intact until the unworn part is sitting next to it. Confirm your machine is an E Series before you order.

Work with the machine unplugged, and keep the small pieces together in the order they come out so nothing is lost on the bench before everything goes back together. That is the part of this job people underestimate, not the swap itself.
