This Rainbow exhaust vent plate in black is a genuine OEM replacement for E series canister vacuums, fitting the Rexair-Rainbow E2. The vent plate has a dual job: it directs the filtered exhaust air leaving the machine and it keeps debris from finding its way into the motor compartment.
When the plate cracks or goes missing, that exhaust routing breaks down. Airflow through the vacuum is disrupted, the motor compartment is left exposed, and the machine can run hotter than it should. Overheating is the kind of slow damage that shortens motor life without an obvious failure, which makes this inexpensive plate worth replacing promptly.
As a direct-fit part, it restores correct exhaust routing without modification. The black finish matches the original, and compatibility is with the Rexair-Rainbow E2 canister.
