These plastic-type flange plate screws (Part #H542B) secure the flange plate on your Rainbow D4 water basin vacuum and fit the Rainbow/Rexair D4 and D4SE. Each screw threads into the plastic housing to hold the flange plate flat against its sealing surface.
When a screw strips or cracks, the flange plate loosens and no longer seats evenly. That gap lets air leak into the basin, which reduces the suction the machine pulls through its water bath. Fitting fresh screws pulls the plate back down tight and closes the leak path.
