This OEM brush roll with magnet fits Hoover uprights including the BH55500 and BK95519, as well as the Oreck BK95519. Measuring 10 inches, the roller's bristles agitate carpet fibers to lift embedded dirt as the vacuum passes.
A worn brush roll is the leading reason a vacuum loses its carpet-cleaning ability. As bristles wear down or the roll goes out of round, agitation drops and pickup suffers on both carpet and hard floors. A fresh roll restores full bristle contact and noticeably improves performance.
