Part 147631 is the bellows used across the Sanitaire and Eureka dirt cup machines: the flexible rubber section in the airflow path that lets the assembly move while keeping the air sealed. It covers the C2132 and C2133 series, the SC689A, the SC877D and SC877E, the SC887D and SC887E, and the SC888G.
Rubber does not stay flexible forever. The bellows stiffens, then splits along a fold, and from that point the machine is drawing air through the crack rather than through the nozzle. Suction at the floor falls away while the motor sounds exactly as strong as it always did, which is what makes this failure hard to diagnose by ear.
Check the folds for cracking whenever the dirt cup is off. A split is easy to see once you flex the bellows by hand.
