Product details
Blaming a leaking bellows joint on the rubber itself misses the part that actually failed more often than not. Part 262662 secures the top end of that bellows on Eureka and Sanitaire uprights built in the 887 series, the clamp that pins the flexible boot in place where it connects the nozzle to the bag housing above it.
Every time the handle angle changes during normal use, this joint flexes, and on a commercial machine run for hours in a shift, that adds up quickly, enough to fatigue a clamp long before the bellows underneath shows comparable wear. A clamp in that state can crack, distort, or simply lose enough grip to let suction leak out at the seam instead of reaching the floor, and none of those failures require the rubber itself to have aged at all.
- Part: 262662, upper bellows clamp
- Fits: Eureka and Sanitaire SC877D, SC877E, SC887D, SC887E, SC888G, SC689A, SC9050E, C2132A, C2132B, C2132B1, C2132B2, C2132B3, C2133A, and Electrolux-Eureka EP9025A, EP9025A1, EP9027A, EP9027A1
A worn clamp can look perfectly intact while it has quietly lost the spring tension needed to keep the joint sealed, which means a visual inspection alone often misses one that needs replacing. Whenever the bellows itself gets swapped, fit a fresh clamp at the same time rather than reusing the old one, since pairing new rubber with a tired clamp is a common way for the exact same leak to reappear within a few months of the repair.
