This PCB service kit, part 430000280, supplies the replacement control board for Oreck UK30270, UK30300, UK30300COM and UK30300PC upright vacuums. Electronic faults imitate mechanical ones closely, which is why a machine with a failed board is so often diagnosed as having a failed motor.
A board that has stopped working reliably usually shows up as inconsistent power, lights that will not respond to the switch, or a vacuum that will not start at all despite a good motor and cord. Testing the electronics before condemning a motor can save an expensive and unnecessary swap. Boards can also fail intermittently, which is often more frustrating to chase down than an outright dead one, since the machine may run fine for a while before cutting out again.
