This genuine OEM Sanitaire nozzle connect assembly (Part #A07531501) fits the SC5500A, SC5500B, and SC5505A uprights. The assembly links the cleaning nozzle to the airflow path, keeping the connection sealed so suction carries through to the floor head.
A cracked or loose nozzle connector leaks air at the joint, and even a small gap here bleeds off suction before it reaches the carpet. Broken connectors also let the nozzle shift out of alignment. Installing the correct assembly restores a tight, sealed link and full pickup at the head.
