This OEM handle socket shield (Part #36439) fits Eureka and Sanitaire uprights, including models 1950A, 2124A, C2194A, C2194B, C4046B, C4046D, C4046E, and C4046F. The shield protects the handle socket joint from wear and impact.
Without an intact shield, the socket joint takes direct knocks and grit that loosen the handle and make steering and locking unreliable. A sound shield guards the joint and keeps the handle solid through daily use.
