Every FB-SM lightweight upright leaves the factory with this small red stopper, ordered on its own as part B016-1230. The same small moulded part is used on the Carpet Pro CP-ULW and ZM-400 and on the Riccar and Simplicity R10E, and it is the kind of piece that only becomes interesting once it has snapped or gone missing.
Lightweight uprights live a hard life: carried by the handle, dropped on stair edges, worked by the same foot in the same place every day. Small plastic parts crack long before anything electrical wears out, and a machine that is otherwise sound ends up sidelined for want of one of them.
Sold individually here rather than as part of a larger assembly, so the repair costs what the part costs. Match the red stopper to the one you have removed before fitting, as the lightweight range shares a lot of similar hardware.
