The crevice tool from Bissell's ProHeat 2 deep cleaners, part 2036655. Long and tapered, it concentrates what suction the machine has into a narrow opening, which is the only way to get water back out of a seam or a corner.
It earns its place along skirting boards, down the sides and backs of seat cushions, in the gap between a car seat and the centre console, and on stair edges where a wide tool cannot sit flat. Keep the tip clear: a crevice tool is the attachment most likely to swallow something that then lodges out of sight and kills the airflow.
