Part 93001716 is the removable brush for Hoover U5180 series uprights - the U5180900 and U5180910, U5182 and U5182900, U5183900, U5185900, and the UH70005B, UH70060 and UH70070.
It is the brush that lifts out of the nozzle without tools, which is the whole point of the design: hair and thread wind around a brush roll no matter what you do, and being able to pull it straight out means you actually clear it instead of promising yourself you will. What the convenience does not prevent is the bristles wearing. They shorten and splay, the brush stops reaching down into the pile, and carpet begins to look flat even straight after vacuuming.
Hold a new brush against the old one - the difference in bristle length is usually obvious, and that difference is what has been missing from your carpet.
