This OEM Hoover handle release pedal in Magnesium Gray (Part #440001492) fits the Hoover UH70060 upright and other similar models. Stepping on the pedal unlocks the handle so the machine reclines for cleaning beneath tables and furniture.
Because the release is used at the start of nearly every session, the pedal eventually cracks or begins to stick, making the handle hard to recline. Installing the correct pedal returns the proper spring tension and a clean unlocking action.
