Serving the left side of the nozzle, this bottom plate latch (part 35446006) fits Hoover Convertible uprights including models 1030, U7019, U7021, U7039, U7041, U7043.1, and U7077. It holds the bottom plate closed so the brush roll housing seals against the floor.
Once the left latch cracks or softens, the plate can drop open partway through a job and let air leak in around the nozzle. Suction falls off and the brush roll housing sits exposed. Installing the correct left-hand latch brings back a firm, even closure and steady airflow.

- Function: latches the left side of the nozzle bottom plate
