This charcoal upper cord hook keeps the power cord wrapped on a range of Simplicity, Riccar, Carpet Pro, and Fuller Brush uprights. It anchors the top loop of the cord so the lead stays coiled and off the floor between jobs.
When the hook breaks, the cord unwinds on its own, tangling in storage and lying underfoot as a trip hazard. Replacing this inexpensive part restores tidy cord storage without touching the rest of the handle.
