Behind the nozzle on a Carpet Pro CPU-1 commercial upright, a panel closes off the belt and pulley. That panel is part B020-1031. It covers a long list of machines: Carpet Pro CPU1, CPU1T, CPU1QD, CPU2, CPU2T, CPU3N, CPU3QD, CPU4N and CPU4T, Fuller Brush FBHD1, FBHD1T, FBMMPWCF4, FBPHD2 and FBPHD2T, and Titan T4000 and T4000.2.
Covers get broken rather than worn out. A tab snaps during a belt change, the panel is left off, and from then on the belt runs exposed to string, hair and whatever the machine is pushed against. Commercial operators also find the noise goes up and loose covers rattle against the housing.
A replacement closes the drive back up, protects the belt from debris and puts a proper guard over moving parts on a machine that other people use.
