Eureka Telescopic Wand for ...

Product details

This telescopic wand extends and locks at different lengths so a Mighty Mite canister can reach high shelves, stairs, and tight corners without you having to bend or reposition the machine constantly, and it is the direct replacement for the Eureka and Sanitaire wand fitted to the 970A, 972A, C4571A, SC3683A, and SC3683D canisters.

The telescoping joint is what wears first on a wand like this. Once it does, the tube either will not hold its extended length under normal use, sticks partway when you try to adjust it, or develops play at the joint that lets air leak in and drop suction at the tool end.

  • Part: telescopic wand, part 72953SAN
  • Fits: Eureka and Sanitaire 970A, 972A, C4571A, SC3683A, SC3683D
  • Symptom: wand will not hold its extended length, sticks when adjusting, or leaks air at the telescoping joint
  • Install: installs in place of the original wand with no modification to the canister

Once the old wand is swapped out, the extension moves freely again and the joint holds a tight seal, which is usually enough on its own to bring full suction back to the attached tools without touching any other part of the canister.
