Running through the Sanitaire 16-inch VG-1 brushroll, this genuine OEM shaft (Part #36518) is the drive rod for the assembly and fits the Eureka and Sanitaire SC899G. It carries motor power evenly across the full brush width.
A bent or worn shaft makes the brushroll wobble or bind, producing uneven agitation and added load on the bearings and belt. A straight, sound shaft returns balanced rotation and even cleaning across the head.
