This nesting wand assembly is built for the Eureka and Sanitaire 5800 Series commercial uprights and comes with its crevice tool, ordered as part 7750529. Nesting means the sections stow inside one another and ride with the machine instead of hanging loose off the side of it, which is what keeps a commercial upright tidy as it moves between rooms.
A wand is the piece most likely to disappear off a machine several people share. It gets handed to another cart and never comes back, gets forgotten in a stairwell, or gets crushed under the unit if it tips while the tube is pulled out, leaving whoever needs it next with no way in to a vent or tight corner. Loose-fitting sections cause a milder version of the same trouble, sliding apart and getting abandoned on the floor instead of nesting back where they belong.
