This genuine OEM foam tape seals the exhaust vent on Sanitaire and Eureka upright vacuums, fitting models SC877D, SC877E, SC886F, SC886G, SC887D, SC887E, SC888G, SC888M, SC888N, and SC889A in both the Eureka and Sanitaire lines. The foam forms a gasket where the exhaust vent meets the housing.
Over time foam tape compresses, hardens, and peels, and a worn strip lets exhaust air escape unfiltered around the vent instead of passing through the sealed path. Replacing it restores a clean seal so air exits where it should, keeping filtration effective and the housing sealed.
