This genuine OEM bag adapter (replaces 54175-1 and 52309-1) uses a two-hole design with a clear tube to funnel air and debris from the vacuum head into the bag. It seats at the collar where the bag attaches to the machine.
A cracked or ill-fitting adapter lets air leak at that junction, which weakens suction and lets fine dust escape into the room. A correct adapter reseals the connection so the machine pulls full airflow and captures debris where it should.
