Product details

Part D223-2100 is the upright motor built for the Titan T500 cord-free vacuum, a 48-volt DC motor turning at 14,000 RPM. It is also cataloged without the hyphen, as D2232100, and it restores airflow and brush drive to a battery-powered upright that has lost cleaning power.

The same motor drives the CleanMax ZM800 as well as the Titan T500, since both are cord-free uprights built around this 48-volt DC drive unit. On a cordless machine, the motor is essentially the entire power system, so once it goes, the whole vacuum goes with it regardless of how much charge remains in the battery.

A motor nearing the end of its life tends to give warning signs first: a hot smell after a cleaning run, a new grinding or whining note that was not there before, or cutouts partway through a pass that seem to come and go. Total failure looks different only in that there is no warning left, just a fully charged battery and a machine that will not spin up at all.

Before assuming the motor, charge the battery fully and confirm the machine still will not run, since a weak battery pack can mimic some of the same early symptoms. Once the battery is ruled out, disconnect it entirely before opening the motor housing, and note how the wiring is routed before disconnecting it so every lead lands back exactly where it came from. Seat the new motor fully into its mount so vibration does not work it loose over time. We are an authorized dealer for both CleanMax and Titan, and this motor carries the manufacturer's warranty.
