Wessel Werk Release Pedal - EBK340, EBK341

A power nozzle that will not stay at the angle you set is usually down to one part. This is the release pedal, part 10.1278-300, for the Wessel Werk EBK340 and EBK341.

The pedal locks the neck at each of its positions and releases it when pressed. As the plastic ages the catch rounds off and the spring weakens, so the neck can no longer be held upright for storage or dropped flat for reaching under furniture. In between those two, it moves on its own while you clean, which is enough to make a good nozzle feel worn out.

Fitting the correct pedal returns positive detents through the full range of neck travel. Note how the spring sits before you take the old one out, and look at the pivot and spring seat for wear at the same time, since a failing pedal often takes the spring with it.
