This genuine OEM Rainbow sole plate (Part #R15385) fits the Rexair E-2 power nozzle. The sole plate is the bottom panel of the nozzle that rides against the carpet and covers the brush roll, setting the gap between the bristles and the floor.
A sole plate wears thin, cracks, or warps as it slides across carpet and hard floors, which changes brush-roll height and can let the plate scrape or catch. Damage here reduces agitation and can mar flooring. Fitting the correct sole plate restores the proper brush-to-floor clearance and smooth glide.
