This genuine OEM Rainbow flat belt (Part #R15227B) drives the brush roll on the E2 power nozzle and fits models PN-2E, PN-2, R4375, R2800, and R1650. The belt loops from the motor shaft to the brush roll and turns the bristles that agitate carpet.
A flat belt stretches, glazes, and eventually snaps with regular use, and a burning rubber smell during vacuuming is a clear signal it needs immediate replacement. A slack or broken belt leaves the brush roll turning slowly or not at all, so dirt stays embedded. Installing the correct belt restores full brush-roll speed.
