Product details
This is the snap-in power nozzle motor for the Rexair-Rainbow E2-PN power nozzle, sold as part R15051. It is finished in black with a plastic vent fan and no mounting screws; the motor tabs into place instead of being screwed down.
Signs the motor itself has failed rather than the belt or brush roll: the brush roll stays still even with the belt intact and correctly tensioned, the motor hums but does not turn, or there is a burning smell at the nozzle after only a short run. A worn belt or a jammed brush roll can mimic some of this, so check those first since they are the cheaper fix.
Because the motor mounts without screws on this version, check the plastic snap tabs and the seat they lock into for cracks before the new motor goes in. A cracked tab is a common reason a snap-in motor works loose again shortly after installation, so it is worth looking at while the nozzle is already open rather than after everything is closed back up.
Confirm your nozzle uses the snap-in tab design rather than a screw-mounted motor before ordering; the two are not interchangeable, and the plastic vent fan noted here is specific to this motor version.

- Symptom: brush roll will not turn despite an intact belt, or the motor hums without turning.
- Install check: inspect the snap tabs and their seat for cracks, a common reason a new motor works loose again.
