This pair of carbon brushes, part 105697, serves the Domel motor fitted to ProTeam's backpack range. Brushes are consumables: they wear against the commutator every hour the machine runs, and once they are short the motor loses power, stutters, or sparks visibly through the housing vents.
Replacing them is far cheaper than the motor they protect, and doing both at once is not optional, since mismatched brush lengths wear a commutator unevenly.
The set fits the ProTeam CoachVac and Super CoachVac including the HEPA version, QuarterVac, Sierra, LineVacer, QuietPro BP HEPA and QuietPro CN HEPA, ProVac BP, and AviationVac backpack vacuums. If a backpack in daily commercial service has never had a brush change, it is worth pulling the caps and measuring before the next fault, because brush wear is the most predictable failure these motors have.
