The ProTeam brush roll clutch (Part #835677) is a genuine OEM drive component for the ProTeam ProGen 12 and ProGen 15 uprights, and it also fits the ProGuard 16 MD wet/dry vacuum. The clutch transfers power from the belt to the brush roll and protects the drivetrain if the roll jams.
A worn or slipping clutch lets the brush roll stall or spin intermittently, so carpet fibers no longer get agitated and pickup drops off. Fitting a fresh clutch restores steady brush rotation and reliable drive under load.
