We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. Product details
The carpet/floor switch is what tells these uprights which surface they are on, and this is the replacement assembly, part D017-5200. It fits the Maytag M700 and the Riccar R20S, R20D, R20P and R20UP along with their Simplicity counterparts, the S20S, S20D, S20P and S20UP.
When the switch wears out the machine stops holding a setting. It drops back to one mode on its own, or will not change at all, and you end up either dragging a spinning brush across hardwood or trying to clean carpet with the agitation switched off, wondering why the pile stays flat.
The assembly comes complete. Photograph or label the wiring before you unplug anything and transfer the connections one at a time, because the terminals are easy to swap by mistake and the switch will not work if they are.
