This genuine OEM HEPA filter fits a range of Kenmore bagged and bagless uprights, including the BU4022 and DU2012 RPL. The HEPA media captures 99.97% of dust, pollen, and allergens down to 0.3 microns, cleaning the exhaust air and shielding the motor from fine particles.
As the media fills with captured dust, airflow falls off, suction weakens, and the exhaust can take on a dusty smell. This filter is sealed HEPA media, not a washable element, so replacing it rather than cleaning it is what brings back full airflow and filtration.
