Hoover part 440008914AM is the brush roll for the WindTunnel 3 uprights, the driven roller that agitates carpet so the airflow has something loosened to carry away.
Brush rolls wear from the bristle tips inward, evenly and slowly enough that most owners never notice it happening. The machine simply stops lifting as much as it used to, and a fresh roll makes an immediate difference on the same carpet. Bearings and end caps are the other failure: a roll that squeals, wobbles, or stops turning while the belt is still intact needs replacing rather than cleaning.
It fits the Hoover UH72615, UH72625, UH72630 and UH72635 and the CH54100 and CH54100V, and it is also listed for the UH30601 and UH30601CDI and the UH30650, UH30650PC, UH30650VPC, UH30651 and UH30651PC. Cut away wound hair before fitting the new roll so the belt is not loaded from day one.
