This replacement handle release pedal fits the Carpet Pro CPU1 with a serial number before 9C004411, along with the CPU1T and CPU2T. Pressing the pedal unlocks the handle so you can recline the vacuum to clean under furniture and along baseboards.
A broken pedal locks the handle upright, leaving you unable to lower the machine for low-clearance cleaning. A fresh pedal restores the release action so the handle tilts smoothly and the vacuum reaches where you need it.
