The filter cover on a SEBO 370 cannot lock down without the rod running through its safety catch. Part 1824 is that rod, supplied for the 370 Comfort and Electronic 370.
It pivots every time the cover is opened and closed, so wear shows itself as vague, uncertain latching long before anything actually snaps. That vagueness is the part worth acting on. A cover that no longer clamps hard against its seal lets air slip around the filter rather than through it, and the loss turns up as weak suction at the floor head with no obvious cause — bag fine, filter fine, hose clear, and still the machine underperforms. Because nothing looks broken, this fault often survives several bag changes and a filter replacement before anyone thinks to check the latch.
