SEBO Crevice Nozzle — Black

Black-bodied machines take this version of the crevice tool, part 1092SW. The shape is the familiar flattened snout that squeezes the whole airflow into a narrow opening, but the moulding is finished in black instead of the gray black used on 1092GS or the light gray of 1092JE.

Its work is the awkward third of the house: down the sides of upholstery, along skirting, in door tracks, under appliance kickplates and around the rails beneath car seats. Because the opening is small the air moves quickly through it, which is what shifts compacted grit and pet hair out of a corner instead of skating over the top of it. A cracked or flattened tip loses that effect, and is the usual reason one gets replaced.

Stairs deserve a mention of their own. The join between tread and riser collects more than any other edge in a house, and it is exactly the shape a crevice nozzle was drawn for. The same goes for the channel a sliding patio door runs in, which nothing else will clear without a screwdriver and some patience.

SEBO lists it at position 61 on the FELIX parts diagram as the black crevice nozzle. Fits the SEBO AUTOMATIC X4, AUTOMATIC X7 Pet and FELIX Premium. Anyone matching a different machine should take the colour that goes with it — 1092GS in gray black or 1092JE in light gray — and 1093JV is the 24-inch nozzle for gaps this one cannot reach the bottom of.
