Part 68910 is the washable HEPA exhaust filter for the Sanitaire SC-9180 commercial upright, mounted at the exhaust rather than ahead of the motor, so it catches what the airflow carries on its way back out into the room.
Fits the Sanitaire SC9150 and SC9180, the Eureka SC9150 and SC9180, and the Electrolux-Eureka EP9110A. Because this filter sits after the motor rather than before it, a clogged one raises exhaust noise and lets more fine dust escape into the air before it fully restricts airflow the way a pre-motor filter clog does.
Being washable extends its service life well beyond a disposable filter, but only with real maintenance behind it. Rinse under running water until it runs clear, squeeze out excess water rather than wringing or twisting the media, and let it air dry completely before putting it back in the machine, since HEPA media that goes back in still damp mats down and loses the open structure it needs to filter properly.
Replace it once washing no longer restores airflow, or once the media itself shows tears, thinning, or a permanent gray cast that rinsing will not lift.
