A wooden brush roll for the Sanitaire and Eureka commercial uprights: the SC9150 and SC9180, including the SC9180B and SC9180D, plus the C4910A and the Electrolux-Eureka EP9110A. It carries part number 161011.
Brush rolls in commercial machines get run daily over carpet that eats bristles. Once the bristles are worn short, splayed or packed with carpet fibre, the roller stops digging and the machine starts skimming: grit is still there on a second pass, and pet hair sits on the surface instead of lifting. End caps and bearings wear on the same clock, so a roller that rattles or drags is telling you the same thing.
This is the wood-bodied roller rather than a metal one. Pull the belt, lift the old roller out, clear the belt path of wound thread, and drop the new one in.
