Backpack wands take the worst of the job: stepped on, dropped, and levered against baseboards all day. This is the two-piece wand for the Carpet Pro SCBP1 and SCBP1.2 backpacks, part B352-4000B, supplied as the pair of sections that join between the hose cuff and the floor tool.
A wand that has been bent no longer seats square in the cuff, so it works loose mid-pass or leaks air at the joint and drops suction at the head. Cracks usually start at the friction fit and spread until the two sections will not hold together at all.
Because it comes as two pieces rather than a single tube, you can keep a spare of the section that fails most often on your machines instead of buying a whole wand every time one gets flattened.
