Carpet Pro's commercial uprights run a thread guard alongside the brush roll, the lip that catches carpet thread and hair before it can wind into the roller ends. Part B017-1200 replaces it on the CPU2. It is shared across a wide part of the commercial range: Carpet Pro CPU1QD, CPU2T, CPU3N, CPU3QD, CPU4N, CPU4T and the CMP3 series, the Clean Max CMPSQD, Fuller Brush FBMMPWCF4, FBPHD2T and FBP-14PWBP, and the Titan T4000, T4000.2, TC6000 and TC6000.2.
When the guard is missing or bent away from the roller, string and pet hair go straight onto the shaft. The roller binds, the belt slips and stretches, and someone has to cut the mess off with a blade every few days.
Refitting a straight guard puts that maintenance back where it belongs, at a few minutes a month.
