This is the internal hose for the Bissell 23T7 bagless upright, part 2037596, and it fits across the 23T7 range including the 23T74, 23T77, 23T7E, 23T7F, 23T7G, 23T7K, 23T7P, 23T7Q, 23T7T, 23T7U, 23T7W and 23T7Y.
The hose carries everything the floor head picks up through to the bin, and it fails in two ways. A crack or a pulled cuff bleeds air into the path, so the head stops picking up while the motor sounds exactly as it always did. A blockage, usually a sock, the corner of a rug, or a compacted plug of hair, stops it dead instead.
Before fitting the replacement, check the old hose end to end with a light shone down it. Finding the split confirms the hose was the fault and saves you replacing a motor that was never the problem.
